Jouko Ahvenainen (MBA, M.Sc.) joins Replicon as a Senior Partner

January 10, 2005 Reflecting the growth of experienced partners in company's strategic and management consultant team, Jouko Ahvenainen joined Replicon as a Senior Partner, with operations responsibility for ICT and Mobile sector consulting. Mr Ahvenainen brings strong international experience from the ICT sector to Replicon Group. He will coordinate Replicon ICT and Mobile Consulting team that includes industry experts from Finland and key foreign market areas. The team can offer a large range of services from strategy to internationalizing and financing for the ICT sector growth companies.

Mr Ahvenainen has over 12 years of experience of projects that require large competence and understanding of business and enabling technology. Mr. Ahvenainen has worked with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Powerwave Technologies Inc., Nokia Oyj, and Sonera Oyj in various positions involving consultation and management work in international environment, planning of strategies, business and marketing plans, services and network technology, and international sales. Mr. Ahvenainen has over 10 years of experience of international business in Asia, Europe, and North America; he has lived in Finland, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA.

In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Ahvenainen has entrepreneur experience (co-founder, chairman, president, and CFO roles) from Xtract Ltd., software-company with solutions for telecom, finance, and media companies. Mr. Ahvenainen serves on the boards of several Finnish start-up companies. Mr. Ahvenainen received an MBA (International Finance) from Helsinki School of Economics and a M.Sc. (Information and Communications Technology) from Helsinki University of Technology.
